Network Society and Enterprise Management Reforms: A Fieldwork Study in Daoxiangcun Group Co. Ltd.

In a network society, the fast-changing economic situation brings about considerable challenges to traditional enterprises, especially for “time-honored” enterprise like Daoxiangcun Group. It is an interesting academic topic scholars portray ways in which these time-honored enterprises have achieved tradition-modernization transformation via internet technology. This paper, by taking Group as case study, makes anthropological fieldwork research and analyzes changes management of at four levels: society macro structure, baking industry meso company’s organizational structure business processes micro structure. found that reforms reflect pattern “from outside inside” inside outside”, "from top bottom” bottom top”.
